Q: WHY ARE YOU A VOICE OF DEFIANCE?

Being in an independent band carving your way through an industry led by multinational corporations and labels who hold all the cards means every time we step on stage we’re a voice of defiance. Persistent in making it on our own steam with just us and our fans to thank.

Q: WHAT’S ONE WAY YOU HAVE DEFIED THE ODDS?

We started out from nowhere as a couple of kids messing about in a practice room in school, none of us with any realistic hope of ever making it in music. We left school and together played every pub and dive bar in and around our home city of Birmingham and visited every city & town up and down the country trying to make a name of ourself. This year we’re about to release our debut album followed by a UK Tour with an audience of 10,000 people. We had to do things the hard way but we wouldn’t change it for the world.

Q: WHAT’S THE HARDEST CHOICE YOU’VE HAD TO MAKE?

Giving up the prospect of having a normal life with a settled job to gamble on trying to achieve our dreams and make the band happen. But it’ll be worth it in the end.

Q: WHO OR WHAT SHAPED YOUR APPROACH?

Our parents record collections. If we hadn’t been indoctrinated into the music of all the bands and artists from the 70s through to the early 00s by our parents we wouldn’t be here today. These artists became our hero’s through the records they showed us and shaped who we wanted to be.
