When have you been a voice of defiance?

“I’ve been a voice of defiance when many people believed grime music was dead. I remember popping artists going on the radio and saying nobody listens to grime. Fast forward, I see them not only making grime but collaborating with upcoming grime artists, and it looks mutually beneficial.”

1. What principle do you have that is not for sale?Outgrowing people. I might outgrow situations but that doesn’t mean I’ve outgrown the people in them, they’re just on another part of this journey.
2. What belief did you have to leave behind?I know what I’m doing lol. Now I just make music and put it out consistently, and it’s been the wisest decision of my career.
3. What do you love about yourself that you once doubted?I love that when I’m at my worst moments in life, I tend to be at my most creative.
4. What are you building that money can't buy?I think I’m finally building a legacy. I’ve had lots of different sections of my career, but I feel I’m finally making music that will stand the test of time.

“I advocate for the youths who have not unlocked their potential and were told they weren’t good enough. And I’ve always followed my own mind and heart, not the crowd. If they go left, I go right.”

When have you been a voice of defiance?

“There’s been several moments but most of the time it comes when I’ve been doubted and told I couldn’t do something. It creates a defiance and I won’t stop until I prove them wrong.”

1. What principle do you have that is not for sale?My integrity. No amount of coin, fame or opportunity is worth losing myself over. I know who I am, what I’ve been through and what I stand for, and I’ll never compromise that. It’s impossible.
2. What belief did you have to leave behind?I once believed that I needed other people to agree with me on something in order for me to move forward with an idea. Those days are done.
3. What do you love about yourself that you once doubted?I would probably go with being true to myself, as briefly mentioned, I would seek validation from others once upon a time. Now I’m true to myself I don’t have to wait for a green light from others, I’m confident enough to just cut through and green light myself.
4. What are you building that money can't buy?A legacy of always putting people on and helping out when I can without asking for a dime! (Unless it’s business then you better run the bread lol).

“We live in a society that isn’t designed for us. So just trying to pave a way to a better life for yourself and those around you, whether with words or actions, is an act of defiance in a failing society built to collapse on the working class.”

1. What principle do you have that is not for sale?Never switch on the people you never chose. Only time can show who your true friends and family are; once it does, don’t swap them for anything in the world.
2. What belief did you have to leave behind?Blood makes you family.
3. What do you love about yourself that you once doubted?The ability to come back from any loss.
4. What are you building that money can't buy?A stable mindset for my son. The weak create difficult times, difficult times create the strong. The strong create good times and good times create the weak. You can give someone all the money in the world; without the right mindset on the shoulders it will be likely to destroy them in the end.

“I’ve built a community and space for people to be seen, a community for the people fighting battles people can’t see.”

1. What principle do you have that is not for sale?Forgiveness. You must forgive others and, most importantly, yourself.
2. When have you been a voice of defiance?In my music, my sound! It’s your art, do it your way, there is no rules.
