Q: WHAT DOES “NEVER CONFORM, ALWAYS EVOLVE” MEAN FOR YOU?

To always push forward, never let yourself get too comfortable. Evolution comes from making yourself uncomfortable and almost forcing growth, braving new frontiers and new challenges, never fearing failure—knowing that, as much as any success, it is integral to any development of self.

Q: WHY ARE YOU A VOICE OF DEFIANCE?

I’ve always tried to push against the tide of doubt, never wanting to simply fit into others’ perception of what you should be. There’s no better feeling than climbing to a peak knowing the whole time people doubted any ascent. Defying the echoes of criticism and negativity with only your own will and relentless drive is the best way to become a true voice of defiance.

Q: WHAT'S ONE WAY YOU HAVE DEFIED THE ODDS?

I feel I was written off at around eight years old as someone who would achieve very little to nothing from life. Every step forward has defied odds. Every fallback that propelled me further has shattered those odds.

Q: WHAT'S THE HARDEST CHOICE YOU'VE HAD TO MAKE?

Choosing solitude over comfort. Success can be isolating. You might have to walk alone while others stay safe in the crowd.

Q: WHAT LESSON DO YOU LIVE BY?

The hardest choices you make to succeed aren’t loud. They never come with applause. They come in the silence, in the quiet, in the moments nobody sees.

Q: WHO OR WHAT SHAPED YOUR APPROACH?

My parents instilled all the best parts of my character—the non-negotiables. A strong work ethic, always show compassion, love, decency, pride... and try not to be a prick. Unless you’re called to be one—then enjoy.
