Q: WHAT DOES NEVER CONFORM , ALWAYS EVOLVE MEAN FOR YOU?

This to us means to understand the concept that the world never stops. If you’re not moving forwards , you’re moving backwards, the world/people/culture doesn’t stop for no one.

So too conform to one idea, or one ideology is never a good idea, that goes for business or in general life. You learn quickly that to push forward and to evolve as a human being is super essential, sometimes this can happen naturally but sometimes not, so it’s good to remember this whenever you can!

Q: WHY ARE YOU A VOICE OF DEFIANCE?

We are a voice of defiance probably because of the lane we have chosen to pursue as a career and also because of the choices we made to get here. The easy choice after High School where we met, would have been to have gone to a University for 3/5 years and seen how things worked out. Where as we choose to go to a short 9 month college course in London and dive right into the thick of things as quickly as we could. The problem is in the music business that 3/5 years is a long long time, many things would changed by the time we finished and we felt like we couldn’t afford for that to happen.

We would like to think we are an example for people to actively start pursuing their goals, you don’t have to follow the normal rules that society tries to put on you, get going and make it happen. Having faith that by choosing that journey or path will always lead to a more fulfilled life regardless of the outcome, it’s never about the destination but about choosing the right paths that will give meaning in your everyday life!

Q: WHATS ONE WAY YOU HAVE DEFIED THE ODDS?

We feel that one way we have defied the odds is the fact we are still working together 15 years later, also by the fact that we have tried to stay true to our sound. It’s very easy for artists to chase the current hype sound of the year, it always feels like the right thing to do for extra exposure/radio play etc. We have found out though that if you truly want a real and loyal fanbase, you need to stick to the DNA of your own brand which got you a platform in the first place.

We’ve seen a lot of people come and go in this business and longevity has always been one of the key things we have wanted to be successful at, the odds are usually against you but staying true to your sound seems to be the one of the best ways to succeed!

Q: WHATS THE HARDEST CHOICE YOU'VE HAD TO MAKE?

Leaving Size Records which was the label that gave us our first big break. There’s always a moment when you realise you can’t ride the coat tails of others forever and that you have to make the move independently to become your own artist/brand. It was daunting at first but ultimately was the best decision we ever made for our career.

Q: WHAT LESSON DO YOU LIVE BY?

Follow your own truth and have faith that whatever the outcome, it is the best road to having the best adventure of life possible.

Q: WHO OR WHAT SHAPED YOUR APPROACH?

The great DJ/Music Producers like Swedish House Mafia, Deadmau5, Eric Prydz…. they all shaped us by showing us that greatness is something to strive for, you can never hit perfection but you must still aim for it!
